Our Beliefs

As an organizational staff of nearly 80, we are passionately dedicated to the welfare of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout the vast reaches of Placer County. In the course of the agency’s work, staff endeavor to Make the Difference in the lives of individuals and the communities in which they live.

Although the agency offers diverse services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages young to older adults, the staff and board are collectively grounded in the core values that articulate in order to provide opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live authentic lives, Placer ARC strives to provide:

(1) tangible opportunities to achieve growth in vocational, artistic and self reliance pursuits,

(2) a sense of meaningful community and belonging by facilitating opportunities for lifelong relationships, and

(3) empowerment to self advocate for one’s own needs and desires to live a quality life with a sense of purpose.
