As federal and state administrations change, so do budgets and funding priorities. At this point in time, our elected representatives need to hear from us about the following issues,

  • revisions to Medicaid,
  • Social Security,
  • housing for the disabled,
  • funding for special education, and
  • transportation rules for guide dogs.

Not everyone is comfortable in stepping up to speak out as an advocate; however, most of us can easily make a telephone call. All you have to do is pick up the phone, dial the number, give your name and address and say what you support and what you do not support. It’s that easy. Remember, they were elected to represent Placer County residents, us, in California and Washington D.C.
